Thank you family, friends, colleagues and pawrents for supporting me to raise funds to honour my grandparents. Both my Saba (grandfather Nye) and Safta (grandmother Cecelia) taught me the importance of supporting our fellow human beings and community.
After last year’s smashing success of Giggles & Dogs – an evening of canine education and stand-up comedy – we raised $3,238.76 for the Baycrest Foundation and the Toronto Humane Society. Together, we made a meaningful difference in the lives of our cherished pawfriends while helping support research and care aimed at preventing cognitive decline in our loved ones. It was truly a special evening filled with learning, laughter and community, so we decided to run it back with Giggles & Dogs 2! Help us beat last year’s total and make an even bigger impact by donating today.
No matter what your background is or how you identify, you should not face discrimination when it comes to care and treatment for life-threatening illnesses and diseases such as Alzheimer’s or other dementias. Baycrest is a global leader in care, innovation, research and education in aging and brain health. In addition, Baycrest offers programs to help people recovering from brain tumours, COVID-19 brain fog and mental illness. My family set up the Nye and Cecelia Levy Covenant Fund at Baycrest to help ensure that we as the human race find a cure, prevent or slow cognitive decline and ultimately give all of us a better life as we age. Your support would honour their memory.
Thank you for donating, enjoy the giggles and have a pawsome time!
Yours truly,
Max Lieberman
About Baycrest
More than 770,000 Canadians are living with dementia. Without intervention, the number is expected to rise to almost one million in 2030. Your support allows us to raise important funds for Baycrest, a global leader in innovation, care, education and research, such as light therapy to treat Alzheimer’s and other dementias. Learn more about that here. Baycrest is also the largest clinical trials site in Canada for dementia intervention and therapeutics.
