Hi everyone!

On Sunday June 1st, 2025, I will be participating in Mattamy's Bike for Brain Health Fundraiser - biking 25km!

In 2020, an estimated 564,000 Canadians were living with dementia. By 2031, that number is projected to climb to 937,000 Canadians living with dementia without intervention. But organizations such as Baycrest, who are a global leader in aging and brain health, are hoping to change the future of brain health through research and innovation.

I think this fundraiser is so important because dementia and Alzheimer’s affects so many people around us every day, at all ages. I'm participating in this event for my Nonno and Papa who have both suffered from dementia. My Papa sadly lost to dementia in 2021. There are many layers that come with this disease and it’s so important to raise awareness for it.
