Over the past few years, my family and I have been supporting my grandfather as he navigates the early stages of dementia. Watching someone you love change before your eyes is heartbreaking—and it's something that affects not just the person with the illness, but everyone around them.
This journey has shown me just how important support, awareness, and research are. That’s why I’m riding in this year’s Bike for Brain Health. I’m riding for my grandfather, for my family, and for every person and caregiver touched by dementia. Every dollar raised brings us one step closer to a future with better care, more resources, and hopefully—one day—a cure.
I’m raising money in support of Baycrest by participating in the 2025 Mattamy Homes Bike For Brain Health.
More than 770,000 Canadians are living with dementia. By 2031, that number is projected to climb to over a million Canadians living with dementia without intervention.
By making a donation, you are helping to make a difference the critical work Baycrest is leading in dementia research, innovation, care and education globally.
