Alzheimer's or dementia have undoubtedly impacted each of us in some form. I’m certain many of us have family members, friends or acquaintances that have battled with this terrible illness. Sadly, the battle never ends well, and it is so heart-breaking to watch as the Alzheimer's patient deteriorates over time. Last year, while spending time with my Mom before she passed, I witnessed first hand how many of her elderly friends suffered terribly with Alzheimer's.
I have been given the gift of being invited to participate in a major fundraising opportunity to raise funds for Alzheimer's research through the Baycrest Foundation. I will be playing in the Baycrest Pro-Am Hockey Tournament from May 2-4 where each and every player will be working hard both on and off the ice, with the hope of raising enough money for Baycrest research to have an impact on getting a cure in place for this terrible disease. Here’s where you come in.
I know times are turbulent and you are likely being bombarded by requests for your charity dollars but, if you can find it in your heart to sponsor me for this incredible initiative, I would be honoured to play my heart out with the goal of making a significant contribution on our combined behalf to the cause.
Please click on the link below, which will bring you to my donation page and help me to “Stick it to Alzheimer's”.
As always, thanks for your incredible support. It means a lot to me, and every bit of your support is going to a wonderful cause.
