If you don’t know me by now, my name is David Palermo. With a legacy spanning over 75 years, my family has been dedicated to assisting friends, family and businesses in Canada with their insurance needs. In addition to our commitment to insurance, we hold a deep-rooted passion for hockey, a sport that has profoundly shaped my life since my parents bought me my first pair of skates.
For us, teamwork is more than just a concept; it's ingrained in our nature. That's why I am thrilled to announce our partnership with the Baycrest fundraising team. I, along with my friends in this upcoming event are champions like yourselves who dedicate time to someone or something! I want to be the best champion I can be on behalf of yourselves and Baycrest. This endeavor represents an opportunity for us all to give back and make a meaningful difference; a true win-win situation.
The cause of Alzheimer’s holds a significant place in my heart, as my family has felt its impact firsthand. In 2022, I aligned myself with Baycrest, a leading research hospital in Canada dedicated to combating this debilitating disease.
This isn’t just a game; this is personal for me. I want you to share my journey and think ahead to how this may in fact be personal for us all one day! Through our contributions, we support specialized care, innovative therapies, and cutting-edge research, all aimed at empowering patients to thrive.
Reflecting on past achievements fills me with immense pride. Last year, with the incredible support of individuals like you, we surpassed our fundraising goal of $100,000 raising over $157,000. The camaraderie shared with friends and NHL Alumni players during Baycrest’s Pro-Am hockey charity tournament was truly unforgettable.
Please help me once again this year in our mission to make an even greater impact and exceed my previous goal and reach $150,00! Your support is crucial in achieving this milestone. Join us for Baycrest's Pro-Am 2025 Hockey Tournament, taking place on May 1st - 3rd, to support our teams playing to fight against Alzheimer’s. Thank-you for being a part of this journey with me, together we can win!
