Andrew, Archie & I are joining the CIBC Capital Markets ‘Bike for Brain Health’ Peloton on June 2nd !  

Every year 25,000 Canadians (and 10 million people globally) are diagnosed with dementia. This cause hits very close to home as three years ago a close friend and mentor was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s (the most common form of dementia). My grandfather also battled but ultimately lost his fight with Alzheimer’s when I was young, preventing us from a lifetime of memories together.

Now it’s our time to support them. We will ride for them and all those who have been affected by dementia.

There is no cure or treatments that can reverse the cognitive decline, only ones that help to manage the symptoms of the disease. Baycrest is a world leader in ongoing care, research, education and innovation in the field of brain health and aging.
