This year, in 2025, I’ll be riding in the Bike for Brain Health in memory of my father-in-law, Marat, who passed away from dementia three years ago.
He was our big bear — strong, kind, and deeply loved. We miss him every day.
Dementia is one of those things you don’t truly understand until you live alongside someone who’s affected by it. It’s heartbreaking, exhausting, and deeply humbling.
I’m riding to honor Marat, to raise awareness, and to support research and care for those impacted by dementia. Every donation makes a difference — thank you for your support.
I’m raising money in support of Baycrest by participating in the 2025 Mattamy Homes Bike For Brain Health.More than 770,000 Canadians are living with dementia. By 2031, that number is projected to climb to over a million Canadians living with dementia without intervention.By making a donation, you are helping to make a difference the critical work Baycrest is leading in dementia research, innovation, care and education globally.
