I am part of Bubbie's Sunshine Squad!
Here to raise money to support Baycrest on its mission to empower people to live a lives of purpose and dignity as we age.

From the time I was a young child visiting my grandma Annie at Baycrest (the place that had the best care for people living with dementia), to watching my mom add so much life to so many years over an impactful 15+ years working in the Baycrest Creative Arts studio, to recently dropping off and picking up my own child Annie from the Daycare on site, Baycrest is deeply important to my family and me!

Having had the opportunity to work here in various capacities, with a variety of interdisciplinary teams across campus, I have seen some of the truly incredible work happening here that is impacting so many real lives, innovating a better future, researching to build the foundation that will allow us to do more of this better, educating the public and specialists alike, and influencing policy to shift the way society perceives and treats the aging process.

We are inspired by our grandmother, "Bubbie Cynthia" (as she was known to all) Gasner, who was a leader and role model in many ways, including as a trailblazer first woman on the Baycrest Executive. She was the third generation of our Baycrest family, with her mother, "Grandma Annie", living out her dementia at the Baycrest Campus, and her grandmother, "Bubbie Marmel", was a participant of the Day Program on Cecil street four generations before us. We ride in Bubbie Cynthia's honour and legacy, continuing in her footsteps of ensuring the best care and experience for our parents, grandparents...and future generations to come. 

We also ride for all the parents and grandparents out there...all the bubbies & zaidies, grandmas and grandpas, ma and pas, omama and opapapas, and anyu other older adults out there!
