I AM RIDING FOR MY BUBBIE CYNTHIA!!!

I am part of Bubbie's Sunshine Squad, supporting Baycrest on the mission to empower every older person to live with purpose, fulfillment and dignity.

We are inspired by "Bubbie Cynthia" (as she was known to all) Gasner, who was a leader and role model in many ways, including in many endeavours during her tenure (as the first woman) on the Baycrest Executive.
She was the third generation of our Baycrest family, taking care of her mother, "Grandma Annie", who lived at Baycrest with dementia, and her grandmother, "Bubbie Marmel", who was a participant of the original Day Program on Cecil street. We used to sing “you are my sunshine” to Bubbie Cynthia just as she sang these words to her mother and grandmother generations before, and we are so grateful for all the shining role models who have enlightened our world like her.

We ride in Bubbie Cynthia's honour and legacy, following the path she illuminated: ensuring the best care and experience for our parents, grandparents...and future generations to come. 
We ride for all the parents and grandparents...all the bubbies & zaidies, grandmas and grandpas, ma and pas, omama and opapapas, and any other older adults out there!
