I’m raising money in support of Baycrest by participating in the Ride For Brain Health. I am riding in support of our dear friends Andrea (and her mother) and David, for my father and for my aunt Dorothy. I am also riding for the list of so many others who have touched my life as they have lived and continue to live with dementia.
More than 770,000 Canadians are currently living with dementia — a number projected to soar to nearly one million by 2030 as Canada’s population ages and demographics shift, without intervention. Those numbers where already well known when I was part of the Alzheimer's Society of Canada. It is time to stop this cruel disease. And that is possible. We are getting closer and closer - and we are blessed to have Baycrest's great team to lead this battle.
That’s why we’re not just riding — we’re cycling toward change.
Your support helps raise critical funds for Baycrest, a global leader in research, care, education, and innovation in the field of brain health and aging.
I am not only trying to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those affected today — I am doing my small part in helping create a future free from dementia for generations to come.
