I’m raising money in support of Baycrest by participating in the Mattamy Homes Bike For Brain Health!
As demographics shift, we are going to see a world in which there are more older people than younger people. This means that we need to be ready to face the unique challenges that come with aging, especially when it comes to brain health.
So why does this matter to me? I’ve been spending the last five or so years working toward my PhD, studying the cognitive impacts of aging, and working directly with individuals so they can optimize their brain health. I help people answer questions like: Why does memory change with age? How can I stay sharp? What can I do to keep my brain healthy for as long as possible?
That’s why I’m biking (60km!) to support Baycrest, a global leader in research, care, education, and innovation in the field of brain health and aging. I’ve had the chance to see that impact firsthand because I am completing my internship at Baycrest (the last stop before finishing my PhD) and have seen how funding from people just like you directly supports the development of high-quality services.
Your donations make all of this possible!
