Last time I was in South Korea as I finished my military service, I had visited my grandmother. It's been a long while since I had visited her as I was wrapped up in school and busy figuring out my own life. Last year I learned that she has on-set dementia, and I could really start to notice some changes over the course of a year. (though she looks happier than ever!)
So this cause is quite close to me, and although I am not there with her, I want to raise funds for in support of Baycrest by participating in the Mattamy Homes Bike For Brain Health.
More than 770,000 Canadians are currently living with dementia — a number projected to soar to nearly one million by 2030 as Canada’s population ages and demographics shift, without intervention
That’s why we’re not just riding — we’re cycling toward change.
Your support helps raise critical funds for Baycrest, a global leader in research, care, education, and innovation in the field of brain health and aging.
When you fundraise for your ride, you’re not only making a meaningful impact on the lives of those affected today — you’re helping create a future free from dementia for generations to come.
