Our team is raising money in support of Baycrest by participating in the 2026 Mattamy Homes Bike For Brain Health.
The work Baycrest is doing for dementia and Alzheimer's research stays close to our hearts because two people in our lives have lived with dementia. Our grandparents lived with dementia, so we have seen how this disease impacts people and have felt the effect it has within families. Both our Oma and Opa lived with dementia for many years and we want to contribute to a future that improves brain health for everyone. Long before our Opa was diagnosed with dementia, he was a family physician and would visit his patients at Baycrest hospital. It makes us happy to support a local hospital that has been connected to our family for many years.
More than 770,000 Canadians are living with dementia. By 2031, that number is projected to climb to over a million Canadians living with dementia without intervention. By making a donation, you are helping to make a difference the critical work Baycrest is leading in dementia research, innovation, care and education globally. Thank you for reading this message and donating. We appreciate you for supporting this cause and our family. Thank you.
