Stick it to Alzheimer's
Alzheimer's disease is a devastating condition that impacts individuals and their families in a uniquely cruel way. We know firsthand, as my grandmother Luella suffered from this disease. Witnessing her cognitive decline was heartbreaking, and a painful process for our entire family.
I am participating once again in the Baycrest Pro-Am to raise funds that support care and research into Alzheimer’s and related dementias. Baycrest is one of the world’s top neurocognitive science centres in research on memory and aging, and the work they are doing offers hope that our families, in the future, will be better prepared for these challenges - perhaps avoiding it altogether.
