My Uncle Richard, and my sweetheart Sandra's mother, Ruth, both passed away late last year and both had been struggling with dementia, Sandra's mom in particular, for several years.

This year, Sandra and I will be playing in their memory and are writing to ask for your support. 

Officially, our individual goals are to raise $1,000 - that’s $1,000 for each of us - but we’d like to reach $2,000 each to do our part in reaching our team’s goal of $20,000.

Now in its 20th year, the Scotiabank Pro-Am for Alzheimer's in support of Baycrest is the largest hockey charity event in North America. This unique 2-day tournament in Toronto brings together men's and women's hockey pros, Olympians, and NHL Alumni with hockey enthusiasts who have collectively raised over $30 million dollars with 100% of it being used to assist in the care, research and education of persons, and their family members, coping with Alzheimer’s and related diseases through Baycrest.
