Hello Dear Family & Friends,

Last year, we lost my dear mother-in-law, Despina Sykiniotis, to Vascular Dementia.  The disease took her from us faster than we ever imagined.  We watched helplessly as it stole her memories, her independence, and, ultimately, her life.  It was heartbreaking.

I’ve never asked for donations before because I’ve always believed that personal finances are private.  But today, I’m making an exception — because Alzheimer’s and Dementia have touched my life in a very personal way I can’t ignore.

That’s why I’m taking part in this year’s Pro-Am for Alzheimer’s Hockey Tournament, North America’s largest on-ice charity event.  Over three days, fans like me will have the incredible opportunity to skate alongside NHL Alumni and Canadian Olympic Team greats — All with one goal: to raise funds for critical research, innovation, and care.
