After 69 years of playing hockey, it has always been a big part of my life.
Three years ago, in September 2022, I had knee replacement surgery — and the recovery has been a long and challenging road. It took time, patience, and a lot of work to get back to where I am today.
Now at 74, I’m incredibly grateful to finally be back on the ice and in my skates again.
To celebrate playing hockey again, I’ve decided to do something meaningful — I’m participating in the Pro-Am for Alzheimer’s in support of Baycrest Foundation.
Alzheimer’s is a disease that affects so many individuals and families. Baycrest is leading the way in research, care, and support, and I’m proud to contribute to a cause that is making a real difference.
This isn’t just about getting back on the ice — it’s about using this moment to give back and support something bigger than myself.
If you’re able to contribute, I would truly appreciate your support. Every donation, no matter the size, helps move research forward and supports families impacted by this disease.
Thank you for being part of this with me.
