Hello Friends & Family,
If we haven’t met yet, my name is David Palermo. For over 75 years, my family has proudly helped Canadians with their insurance needs—and alongside that, we’ve always shared a deep passion for hockey. From the moment I laced up my first pair of skates, the game has been a huge part of my life, teaching me the value of teamwork, perseverance, and dedication both on and off the ice.
Being part of a team is something that comes naturally to me, which is why I’m incredibly proud to continue my partnership with the Baycrest fundraising team. This will be my fifth consecutive year supporting this important cause—one that has become deeply personal to me and so many families across Canada.
Why Baycrest? Why This Fight? The fight against Alzheimer’s and dementia is one that hits close to home. Like many, my family has been personally affected, and I’ve seen firsthand the impact this disease has on loved ones.
That’s why I chose to support Baycrest—one of Canada’s leading research hospitals—because of the incredible work they do every day:
This cause is more than just fundraising—it’s about making a real difference in people’s lives.
Our Impact – And The Momentum ContinuesOver the past few years, our team has achieved incredible success thanks to the generosity of our donors, supporters, and dedicated teammates.
Last year alone was our most successful yet:
These results are a true reflection of what we can accomplish together. Every year, our team continues to grow stronger, more committed, and more determined to make an even bigger impact.
Looking Ahead – Baycrest Pro-Am 2026This year, we’re setting our sights even higher.
Join us at the Baycrest Pro-Am Hockey Tournament | April 30 – May 2, 2026Come cheer us on, support the team, and be part of something truly meaningful.
Together, We Can Win This Fight
Every goal we score, every dollar we raise, and every person who joins this cause brings us one step closer to a world without Alzheimer’s and dementia.
Your support means everything—not just to me, but to the families who benefit from the incredible work being done at Baycrest.
Let’s make 2026 our biggest and most impactful year yet.
With gratitude, David Palermo
