Hi Friends,

As many of you are aware, our friend, my mom, batted Alzheimer’s / Dementia for many years. This year I am playing with a heavy heart. Her courageous journey with Alzheimer's/Dementia ended in July of 2025. Despite everything, she was filled with strength and grace to the very end. 

I thank you all for your love, friendship and support for her during these times.

I am honoured to be playing in this tournament for the 3rd year in a row, as this is a cause that is close to my heart - in addition to being a childhood dream to play with so many amazing ex-NHL hockey players such as Doug Gilmour, Pierre Turgeon, Guy Carbonneau, and many more!

This year's tournament, called the MCOCI NHL Alumni Pro-Am for Alzheimer's in support of Baycrest, is the largest hockey charity event in North America. It will take place on April 30 - May 2, 2026 at Scotiabank Pond at Downsview Park. Our team (Team QWealth) will get a chance to draft a hockey legend and fundraise to help Baycrest "Stick it to Alzheimer's" in support of Alzheimer’s research and care. 

As the population ages, the number of people with dementia or cognitive impairment in Canada is expected to increase to over $1 million by 2031. The numbers globally are staggering. Your fundraising efforts will help to preserve and extend the cognitive and emotional well-being of older adults in our community. Donors to Baycrest play a critical role in keeping it running because government funding only makes up about 64% of revenues.
