Over the past few years, I’ve come to see the far-reaching effects of dementia on individuals, families, and communities. While it’s sobering to realize how common this experience is, I’ve also been moved by the strength and support of individuals and communities.
I’ve also been lucky enough to experience the wide network of essential services providers: organizations, communities, educators, counsellors, social workers, and healthcare providers. These resources are vital for people living with dementia and for those who care for them, but need funding to continue.
Following in the footsteps of my mom —who raised thousands of dollars for cancer research through annual walkathons — I am asking for you to please consider making a donation. You support will help to further this essential work: advancing research, innovation, care, and education around dementia.
